Methodology
Living costs exclude rent. City rents are not treated as country averages. Working days for a product equal its price divided by monthly net salary, multiplied by monthly working days; living expenses are not deducted. Missing data is not estimated.
Scope and comparability
Monthly salary refers to net income. Single-person and family-of-four costs are separate series. Product work-day calculations use salary and price in the same source-country currency. Different currencies require a stored, sourced exchange rate.
Toyota and Nike records are proxy/benchmark prices, not guaranteed identical models. Missing values are not replaced with zero.
